What embedding model are ppl using looks

What embedding model are ppl using?.. looks like openai's ada3 is not the obvious choice (anymmore) ?

why is it not the obvious choice? Fast, cheap, and pretty accurate/competitive 🤔

Note that it takes ages to load though
