Yes, it has been deprecated. You can pass in your llm object directly now.

. Is there any tickets/process to deprecate outdated docs? I heard from a few people at a conference last week that it's the biggest complaint in using LLM platforms.

Yes this example can help you start with local llm.
No there is no process to deprecate docs at the moment. You can post about it in the channels or if you can upgrade the docs, PR is always welcome!

If that colab notebook is actually from our docs, then we can remove it.
But in general,
docs.llamaindex.ai
has all the latest documentation
