So total noob here stumbled upon this

At a glance

The community member is a total noob who stumbled upon a video about using Pinecone and OpenAI to create a chatbot with "infinite memory". However, the community member notes that the GitHub repository and comments on the video have been removed, so they are taking it with a grain of salt.

In the comments, another community member explains that the "infinite memory" concept is not specific to Pinecone, and can be achieved by embedding user queries and saving them to a database, then searching for similar previous discussions when new queries arrive. Another community member asks if this approach would be good for looking up recent libraries and having GPT answer them.

The comments also clarify that Pinecone is a database, while GPT Index builds on top of large language models (LLMs) like GPT to provide additional functionality, and can use Pinecone as a data store.

So total noob here, stumbled upon this video and wondering can this be legit with the use of Pinecone?

#Chatbot with INFINITE MEMORY using OpenAI & Pinecone

But it looks like they have removed the github from public and removed comments on the video.

I will take it with a grain of salt for now.

Sure, you just embed all user queries and save them to the db. Then when new queries arrive, embed them and search for similar previous discussions for context. So yes it's "infinite". But it's nothing specific to Pinecone.
Ah ok so Pinecone is not really much different to GPT Index, What if I am wanting to do this for a bunch of Recent Libraries would this be good for say a look up and GPT can awnser them for me?
Watching this video now which talks about GPT Index. https://youtu.be/vDZAZuaXf48
Pinecone is a database, GPT Index builds on top of LLMs to do cool stuff. It can use Pinecone as a data store.
Thanks for the info!
