is the vectorindexautoretriever still a preferred module for vector search with metadata filters in v0.10+? I imagine an entity extraction component in a pipeline would be optimal?

Yeah I think so: https://docs.llamaindex.ai/en/stable/examples/vector_stores/chroma_auto_retriever/

I have a project I'm working on that I'll soon need to integrate these. I'll test a few different approaches and report back the results 😄
