I am using OpenAI chat right now. Is it still True that /chat/completions doesn't support message history? Like you have to manually pass message history within your request

It means the openai package's /completions is really not much different than /chat/completions

Yea, it's really not too different. Just that chat supports various message types

I was hoping to get a speed boost by only sending/receiving last message in the chat, but it's not the case
