another issue we face in filtering was

  1. the doc_id filter in VectorIndexRetriever is not working as expected, the filtering does not work
  2. and is there any way to pass doc_id filter to VectorIndexAutoRetriever (Pinecone auto retriever)?

  1. I think this has since been patched (now there is an option to filter by node_id and doc_id, although not every vector store support node_id filtering). But I can also double check. Are you using pinecone?
