At a glance

could someone explain when it'd be better to use the unified query interface as a tool for an agent vs giving each individual index as a tool to an agent?

Usually it helps you save on the number of tools you give an agent (agents are limited to 20-30 tools, due to token limitations)

I think it mostly comes down to what approach works best for you though
