hi πŸ™‚ is there a way to add metadata

At a glance

The community members discuss the ability to add metadata when ingesting data into PgVectorStore. They note that metadata can be added as a dictionary, and it will be stored in the vector store and included in the embedding by default. However, the specific implementation of how metadata is stored may vary across different vector databases. One community member provides a link to more detailed information on metadata usage in the GPT-Index library.

Not sure if it helps but when you create a Document(text="abc", metadata="alphabet"). you can add metadata.
Metadata just has to be dictionary usually πŸ‘€
It should get stored into the vector store though, and it will be part of the embedding by default
ah...how the metadata is actually stored inside the vector store is dependent on the particular store i guess
Yup, each vectordb handles it a little differently πŸ€”
